PROVEN PROCESSES READY TO BOOST YOUR PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY AND QUALITY

At WINTEC, we provide more than just robust machinery; we deliver the technological expertise to manufacture high-quality plastic parts efficiently. As a member of the ENGEL group, we offer you access to an array of proven injection moulding processes created by ENGEL experts.

Your Direct Benefits from Our Injection Moulding Processes

Achieving functional, tactile and decorative surfaces with films or labels by back or overmoulding films. This creates a high-quality, durable surface where only the film is visible, significantly enhancing the product's aesthetic value and durability.

Your Advantages

Elaborate Aesthetic Potential

Achieve elaborate surface effects directly on the component, including metallic finishes, aluminium looks, dynamic chameleon colours, or holographic patterns.

Rapid Design Changeover

Implement and switch between different designs with ease and speed, offering exceptional flexibility.

Streamlined One-Shot Process

Produce the finished part with its surface design in a fully automated production cell, eliminating the need for any secondary rework.

High-Volume Cost Efficiency

Reduce manufacturing and assembly steps significantly, by creating a fully finished and functional component in one integrated process in a production cell, resulting in substantial savings in weight, production time, and overall costs.

Result

Your plastic component is enhanced with a durable, high-quality film layer for superior surface finishing and functionalisation, providing a significant visual upgrade.

Foam Injection Moulding

In-mould decoration (IMD), In-mould Labelling (IML) foilmeltIn-mould decoration (IMD), In-mould Labelling (IML) foilmelt
Producing injection-moulded parts with internal foam structure.

Your Advantages

Significant Weight and Material Reduction

The process creates a component with a foamed core and a compact surface, allowing for a substantial reduction in both part weight and material usage, whilst maintaining the essential mechanical properties.

Superior Dimensional Stability

The internal pressure generated by the foaming action effectively counteracts warpage and shrinkage, preventing sink marks. The result is highly dimensionally stable parts and a reduction in rejects, which is particularly beneficial for components featuring complex geometries.

Reduce Operational Costs and Machine Wear

The lower internal pressure during foaming allows for reduced clamping force and injection pressure compared to standard injection moulding. This translates directly into lower energy consumption, reduced CO₂ emissions, and decreased wear on both the mould and the machine. For large, flat parts, this often enables the use of a smaller, more economical machine.

High-Quality Surface Finishing

The foaming process can cause surface streaking because of the escaping gases. However, visible parts can easily be upgraded to high-quality and even functionalised surfaces by combining foammelt with other ENGEL processes like foimelt and variomelt.

Precision-Engineered Plasticising Technology

Benefiting from in-house development and production, we offer plasticising units and screws specifically engineered for foaming processes. This ensures higher process stability, optimal melt homogenisation, increased throughput, and superior part quality.

Producing parts from liquid silicone

Your Benefits

Maximum Production Efficiency

Achieve uninterrupted, fully automated silicone processing with 24/7 injection moulding operation.

Unrivalled System Flexibility

Choose from LIM injection units equipped with either a screw conveyor or an injection plunger to suit your specific material and product requirements.

Seamlessly Integrated Support

Benefit from production stability with various metering pumps that are fully integrated into the central WINTEC control unit.

Result

Precision-manufactured components

Minimal burr formation

High-quality, rework-free and waste-free end products

Injection compression/coining
coinmelt

In-mould decoration (IMD), In-mould Labelling (IML) foilmeltIn-mould decoration (IMD), In-mould Labelling (IML) foilmelt
Producing precise components with low residual stresses via injection compression/coining.

Your Advantages

Reduced Energy Consumption

The process requires lower injection pressure compared to standard injection moulding, leading to significant energy savings when producing transparent and other high-precision components.

Superior Dimensional Accuracy

Achieve the same final wall thickness with lower shear forces, enabling the manufacture of highly precise components with greater consistency.

Enhanced Component Stability

Experience lower residual stresses within the component, which significantly reduces warpage and ensures better long-term dimensional stability.

Result

Exceptionally uniform replication of surface structures.

More even material distribution for superior final shape accuracy.
